I tried searching for the Blog "Daily Transcript" and found this website instead.

Well if you tried using Google, it's true. It would seem that my blog is banned. I used to get quit a bit of traffic for those searching for various topics in biology and science in general.

The whole story can be found here.

Why the Daily Transcript?

This title goes all the way back to the Central Dogma of Biology:

DNA (genetic code)

Gets transcribed to ...

RNA (mostly as mRNA - messenger RNA - sometimes known as an RNA transcript)

Gets translated into ...

Protein

I study how mRNA is distributed in the cell. My main objective is to synthesize artificial genes, transcribe the gene into fluorescent RNA, microinject the RNA into cells, and watch the RNA move around. Just like mRNA, my blog is my message to the great chaotic world we live in. I can only hope that people can get something out of it (i.e. properly translate it)!
